Annual Volunteer Training and Review

We require that all Jail Ministry volunteers and social services staff complete an annual review of guidelines detailed in the Jail Standard Operating Procedures and VOLUNTEER HANDBOOK.  Group Leaders should ensure that all members of their team are aware of this requirement and ensure that their members are following the handbook when going into the Jail.

Notice: Not completing the required SOP/handbook training could jeopardize your future participation in activities at the Jail. The purpose of this review is to ensure all volunteers are aware of proper protocols and procedures in the Jail.  These annual training sessions also fulfill a State Minimum Jail Standard for training of “support staff”.
The 2019 annual review of the SOP/VOLUNTEER HANDBOOK is being conducted in January with more detailed training in March/April.  All volunteers are required to attend these training sessions to maintain their volunteer status.
